Controversial I know, but for me, Ray pro offers no joy!

Can blend, successfully, if I take one raw file, open it as smart object, and then use the "new smart object" method of processing.

But trying to blend multiple images shot at 1,2,or 3 stops difference, doesn't work.

When ever I blend this way I get what I call "mushy" images.

It's, obviously, something I'm doing wrong, but for the life of me I cannot see what.

Using "quick blend" has the same effect too.

Sorry, like a twit I went and deleted the source images for that. I'll shoot some more multiples, and try again.

Ok, I think I've solved, or at least stopped, my problem.

A confession; when shooting bracketed shots for layers, I was using my 5DIII's HDR mode.

Shooting outside of this, using a tripod and manually setting the f stops get's rid of my "mushy" problem.

The question now is, WHY?!?!?

Jimmy?
